not too sure where to put this, but here is my question.
i got a pair of 15*10 cagar S/S's from my uncle and they need to be re-chromed. how much would it be to get 2 wheels that size done? im just looking for an estimate. i also need my front bumper done to, and somthing else, would it be cheaper to get it all done at once, like having a bulk, than it would be individually?
thanks
aaron
Usually cheaper all at once. I'd bet 200 a pop. Might not be worth it for the wheels.

I was thinking you know what mu=ight be cool is to have the wheels powdercoated. I think it would be cheaper and last longer. just a thought

Beleive it or not it is cheaper to get a bumper rechromed than wheels or something small like a-arms.I called my local plating shop Tri-cities plating and the bumper for my 69 was around 250.00 and I asked them about A-arms and they said they only did bumpers and gave me another# to R&D finishing here in town well besides being rude the said it would cost 300.00 each a-arm so I took them to my powder coater and I was going to have the done in black but he showed me the chrome powder coating they have and it looks just like chrome it dont shine as much but It looks real good.and he is only charging 35.00 each.So you cant beat that.I think wheels would look real good powder coated especially the same color as the car.
Aaron,
Contact Keystone Automotive Industries, they are on Route 378, just south of Bethlehem. They did my bumpers, triple plated show quality and are guaranteed for life.

Depending on what quality finish you are looking for I can give you guys some very competitive prices on chrome work. I dont do wheels or potmetal in need of repairs but will do bumpers and just about everything else, I would rather not do show chrome stuff but I may do some select parts for a few. I have done quite a bit of work for members over at dragraceresults.com
Email me at sdoss1@elp.rr.com for info and I will also send you the number to call me at.
Thanks
Sean
PS If you email and don't get a reply within 2-3 days send it again, as I may not have recvd it, lately I have had some emails not getting to me.

Keystone automotive is on rt 378 over the hill twards Centervally on you RH side.. Just B-4 Blackriver Road and the HESS station..
butI am under the impression they no longer do CHROM plating.. they use to have a plant in Newark NJ that did it ???
It's been my lmited experience with chromers.. that wheels are cheaper to get new then to have them re-chromed.
