I have a 69 rear end and I am trying to find out exact loaction of the code to show gear ratio. I know it is stamped on the axle housing but I am unable to locate the code. Can anyone help with the exact location.

Thanks Pass side axle tube. Facing the front of the car, bout 8 inches from the center section. It's stamped, so it's probably filled with dirt and grease.

The code is on the top of the axle area on the right side (passenger side) about half way between gear housing and wheel. some times the stamping is not deep, so clean the area with a solvent and than us a mirror. Than just decode the findings.
