Have never used POR-15 - complete newbie to paint/body other than rattle cans and high school "bondo" shop class a thousand years ago. Have read numerosu posts on POR-15 and the general consensus appears to be that it works very well when used properly...correct?

Front disk brake calipers with basic surface rust..nothing major, but want to clean them up and not have it return...so POR them? What about the heat factor?...should I stick with their high heat paint, but what happens to the rust?

Has any one used their POR-15 clear?

POR works well, but I and several others have used this product and it has held up nicely, covers well, easy to apply and cheaper.

They have it at eastwood in several colors.

Just another idea.

Just pull the calipers and remove all the rust first. Better removed than covered anyway.

Yikes...I just did a bit more reading and this POR versus Eastwood thing reads like a novel. I didn't realize the "debate" that has been going on for years.

I am starting to lean a bit myself to Eastwood for all the reasons others state...cost, ease, simplicity. Does the RE come in an rattle can...I thought I read it but can't find it on the site. The Chassis Black is just the top coat..correct.

Eastwood is a good one stop place, but I have to wonder how many of their products are made by companies and have Eastwood labels slapped on them. I seriously doubt Eastwood "makes" anything.

I think a trip to a well stocked auto parts store might have the answer you seek.

Believe it or not, Wal-Mart usually has a pretty good selection of car related products. I was amazed. Not just cheap junk either.

Another rust paint is called Rust Bullet. Their product looks extremely like the POR-15 Silver line.
