I need soneone to give me a count on the window clip studs.
1. How many on each side? How many along the bottom?(rear window)
2. How many along the windshield lower edge?
3. Is it best to use screws or can a glass shop
replace the studs and do these have to be installed before it is painted?
Both these areas have been replaced on my 66 Chevelle.

If you are talking about the clips that hold the window felt on the door glass its 7 inside 7 outside on a 67. I bet a 66 is the same.
opps, I bet you are talking about windshield, not window.

Is this the clips that hold the stainless trim around the windshield? I can go count the ones i have and let ya know if it is. Stainless screws or rivets work best for replacements if the studs are missing.

Frt glass has 8 on top, 7 on bottom and 3 on each side. Rear glass has 6 on top, 7 on bottom and 3 on each side. Screws are used on frt. glass sides factory. I bought these neat little standoff screws at a swap meet where you drill a small hole and screw the standoff in until it bottoms out. Looks like a standard molding clip stus except it has a phillips head. Works mint!
