I'm doing a complete resto on my 69 and want to switch from a front fender mounted antenna to a rear mounted unit. Does anyone have the coordinates for the hole location? Any help is greatly appreciated!

The center of the hole in mine is 8" forward of the end of the quarter panel (where the tail light assembly bolts up), 2 - 3/8" to the right (looking forward) of the quarter panel lip crease at the trunk, and also 3 - 7/16 to the left (looking forward) of the fin crease in the quarter panel. Does that make sense?

Thanks to both of you guys. My 69 came with the hole in the rear quarter but nearly even with the top edge of the trunk. The front clip I bought also has the hole in the right front fender.

I really wanted the "rear-rear" mount and now I have the info needed to cut a new hole.
Dangit, now I have to fill two holes <silly grin>

I love this site!!!

I just took a couple of pictures showing the antenna hole in the rear quarter and the cable routing through the back seat area. If anyone is interested, just E-mail me and I will send them on to you.

Sorry to be jumping in late here - I have a rear mounted antenna, but the antenna part is gone. I will post a pic tonight - but I was wondering if there were non-telescoping options in 69, or if my antenna has been changed out - I have looked at the front fender, and there is no evidence of a hole.

Mine is a set length (non-telescoping) and is spring loaded at the bottom. I have no idea if it's original or not, but if you wish, I will take a picture of it and send it on to you. Just E-mail me to let me know.

Dennie Turner still sells NOS GM front & rear complete chevelle antenna assy. with coax, templates and mouting hardware.
If you already have a good mast and assy then a correct pic and measurement should work.
