Hand held propane torch to heat up the bolts, and a REAL pair of vice grips to get em out. Heat em up and they will come out nice and easy.

if they are too far gone a right angle drill and easy out should doo the trick. or you could grind the heads off, remove the pulley and try the heat vice-grip trick on the now more accessable bolt...

Trying to work on rounded bolt heads at a right angle are a PITA. Beside's fan blades and radiator fins are not user freindly.
Can you just unbolt the whole water pump. thus giving you better access to the front hub.clutch fan bolts ?

Vise Grips are ok but have limited leverage. I find that a large 14" or bigger adjustable pliers (channel lock type) give more leverage and bite into the bolt head deeper.

Is your radiator out? Sometimes it is easier and faster to remove the radiator first. Easier on your knuckles and the radiator fins. Faster because the bolts are easy to reach rather than messing around for hours trying to avoid the radiator.

I kind of like Wayne's idea about pulling the water pump and fixing it on the bench. You'll pretty much have to clear everything else out first, radiator, shroud, and all the belts. But I think you'll save time in the long run.

heat is your best friend for stuck bolts. i agree with removing at least the fan shroud for easier access. if you go with the vise grip approach, try and work the bolts in and out. its just like getting stuck in the mud, if you rock back and forward enough, you will get enough movement to free yourslef. penatrating lubricant could also help out, but the best way is to always use a good six point socket if at all possible. good luck.
