I have a Hollander interchange manual for Chevelles. I have a 1965 Chevelle frame that is rusted into. I have read in Hollander that 1964-66 hardtop coupes, I believe, are interchangable. I have recently read in Hemmings Muscle Machines that the 64 was 2.7 inches shorter. I can't remember if it was body or frame since I don't have the magezine here with me. One email I received was that the 66 couldn't work since they went to a wide track frame. graemlins/clonk.gif I don't what that means, but why would Hollander print something that is false? They did say that a 67 could be used with modification and that El Camino's and Wagons and I believe sedans were different. I may be wrong with the sedans. I would like to know if 64-66 Chevelle hardtop Malibu frames are interchangable. :D

According to my Chevy interchange manual, 64-65 frames interchange except for convertible, pickup (assume El Camino), and station wagon.

Then 66-67 frames interchange except for convertible, pickup (assume El Camino), and station wagon.

No other experience than that.
