does anyone know if Edelbrock manufactures their own cams ? thanks , jay

Yes they do. The Performer RPM cam kit. They are better known for manifolds and heads. it really depends on what you want to achieve.

Search the performance and mechanical forums. I have heard some bad things about Edelbrock cams.

I am running the edelbrock rpm intake and matched cam for BBC. I did have a lobe round off on a
8000 mile engine build. However, I have read in here of a lot of different cams loosing a lobe.

The Edelbrock cams can be bought at much cheaper prices if you don't use Edelbrock part #'s
Their SBC and BBC Performer cams are available for $79 as a cam/lifter kit at Summit,and the RPM and Performer cams are available at PAW
They are just generic grinds that Edelbrock resells.

they aren't great for performance, sound awesome, but no low end, and can be out performed, my advice, look into the Voodoo cams.

I was just curious. On their sight they are advertising a hyd. roller for BBC .I figured they were having them built to spec.
