Hi group. I finally got my steel cowl hood scoop for the 66 and it came in with some damage on it. I had my body man look at it and he gave me a price of correcting it and I relayed the information to my salesman at Goodmark. After we discussed it, he gave a me a credit for the repairs needed. He never doubted it for one second and even offered to send me another one but I told him the body shop was already waiting on this so we went with repiaring it. . This is why I will continue to go to them and since this have ordered another 200.00 in parts. Since it went to the body shop, he has replaced both 1/4's, 2 floor pans and the complete trunk area with all Goodmark panels and he has had minimal fit problems. This is the second Chevelle he has done in 2 years with Goodmark products and from here on out, he will ask the owners of future projects to purchase Goodmark panels when they are avaliable.

I'm glad to hear that about Goodmark. They are introducing a steel cowl hood for 68-69's this year and I want one for my 69 Elky.

Just make sure the part is a GM Restoration made part..some of there stuff isn't.A good buddy of mine (owns a body shop and has done many a chevelle)put a door skin on a 69 camaro and said it was a HORRIBLE mess. graemlins/angry.gif Said he wished he'd never cut the old skin off.... graemlins/clonk.gif

PS,he's also a Goodmark distributor...

I've put door skins on a 69 Chevelle that were Goodmark and they were very good - no problems. Strangely enough, I'm helping a friend with his 68 and they don't offer them???
