And the thing looked cool as hell, I think it was about $1000 for the complete setup.

Unfortunately, I lost the link. Does anyone seem to remember it, or know where I can find it? It was a new tubular bench seat frame, the foam, and the covers.

Thanks!

Those aren't bad! Thanks for the link. Here's another one for anyone else who's interested:

http://www.glideeng.com/products.htm

The Chevelle and El Camino link is near the bottom of the list on that page.

Also, if you check out the bucket seats and mounting tracks they have available, it looks like a pretty sweet setup.

I think in the next couple of months, I will give the bucket seats a try, along with the shoulder style seatbelts from www.julianos.com (http://www.julianos.com)

Should be a pretty cool setup - especially since my driver is nowhere near stock.

I'll let you know how it turns out.

This is the company I've been talking to about a custom bench seat for my 69 El Camino. Their seat are built in Ft.Worth,Tx and cost is much less than Glide Eng.

They don't have any prices listed on their site - about how much are they quoting you for a seat?

Why dont these manufacturers make bucket seats? I found two buckets on ebay, but they arent Chevelle seats. They look like buick seats Are all A-body buckets the same for 70?

Thanks man, but when I change out the seats, I want to upgrade to something more modern - I did see a set of '03 Tahoe front buckets that I believe I can get to mount in the Elky - should be an interesting fit. Thanks though!
