I dropped the tilt column on my 69. Now the key will not come out. I pulled everything apart, took out the tumbler assembly, removed the switch at the bottom if the column. When I pull on the rod it will not let the locking rod go upp high enough to engage the locking plate. Any ideas on this one? Edd.

Never mind.

make sure the column is in park.?
also try the "center "
position on the tilt.
