I saw an article here the other day where there was a complete chart published on determining your rear end ratio by counting teeth and it also gave the original factory ratios. Does anyone know where that was? I thought I could go back to it when I got home to pring it, but now I cannot find it. Thanks in advance.

You can always count the teeth:

Divide the number of teeth on the ring gear (41 in my case) by the number of teeth on the pinion (10 in my case).

41 divided by 10 = 4.10 ratio

Ultra low tech. Mark your driveshaft with a chalk mark and spin your wheel 1 complete rev while counting drive shaft revs. Works every time.

This works every time as long as you have a posi rear. Open differentials only rotate half as much (e.g. for a 3.08 open the driveshaft will rotate just over 1 1/2 times per tire rotation).
