I am looking for a trim piece that goes along the rocker panel on a 69 chevelle. I believe the piece is specific too 69 300 deluxe. It is about an inch wide and runs the entire rocker panel and I think it comes too a point at each end. If memory serves me correct it uses 5 mounting holes. I asked in another forum a while back but didnt have any luck but I was wondering if someone could tell me how to find a gm part number for this too help me in finding it. If you go too my sig and go too (pic 1) I drew a white stripe too look like the piece so you know what I am talking about. Im not trying too make this a want add so if you(moderator) want too edit this that will be fine but please dont delete. Thanks

I think a factory assembly manual will help you. Sorry, don't have one for 69

I think the part you are referring to is simply the rocker (panel) molding. BTW, I believe it extends onto the front fender also.

Can't help with a part number.

This is different from the rocker panel molding, I have seen some for sale for a 69 but they are not what I need. It ends at the rocker panel, and doesnt go on the fender. I have been looking for a long time without any luck so I may have too just buy some moldings like vettefella is talking about just so I can cover up my holes

This doesn't seem to be right to me, but take a shot. At GMpartsdirect.com they list a "bedside molding" for 69. Doesn't sound right but may be worth checking out. #7795036 RH, 37LH. How about a local Chevy dealer? I blew in the ear of a body shop guy once and got what I needed because he dealt with parts suppliers every day. They would help him alot faster than me. ;)

I have some good news and bad. I think I found the right part number, the bad news is gmpartsdirect.com doesnt have it, is there anywhere else online that has GM parts.
