I'm looking for some brackets for a '65 sbc/short water pump car, for the alternator and power steering box. I need stock appearing brackets, so no aluminum types.

Most of the alt. brackets I've see use that long arm for the upper mounting bolt, but I've seen those actually break before. Is there an alternative?

Also since the alt. and p/s are going to be mounted on the same side of the engine, can they both run off the same belt, or do two have to be used?

I haven't bought the pump yet, does it matter which one I get?

When using an upper alternator brace like the one below. Is there also a lower alt. bracket? Or is there just a long bolt that goes through the alt. hole, to the head?

I can use the two brackets that I've posted above. One for the p/s pump. The other will work as the top bracket for the alt. The thing I'm having problems with is finding a lower alternator bracket.

If you don't have factory one, what can be used? The only other ones I see are for use with headers.

Original Parts Group shows the original cast style lower on their site.

Mark, I'm currently replacing a SB in my 66 with a BB so I have the brkts for PS. The alt. used an aftermarket lower brkt that is junk but the top is still ok...This is of course is with use with headers... E-mail me if you want anything...
