Junkyard Dawg Mar 30th, 04, 3:41 PM I might be buying a '71 Malibu project and have a few questions. Ok, first off the heater box on the car is long gone. The car was originally an A/C car. What I would like to know is will a non A/C box fit in place? Or is the hole too big? 71chevelleconvtble Mar 30th, 04, 4:06 PM It won't fit. You can buy a "AC Delete" box from americangrafitti for ~150 bucks or make your own cover. Dean Mar 30th, 04, 8:43 PM It will fit but won't completely cover the hole in the firewall. You can patch the part of the hole that doesn't get covered but the cover mentioned above looks much better than a patch.
