Anybody else think $5000 for a "showroom shape" 64 is a little odd?

If the car is rated at a class 3- very good-$4,700 would be the asking price.

If it was rated at a class 2-fine- $8,250 would be the price.

If rated at a class 1- excellent- $11,500 would be the price. graemlins/waving.gif

Thats according to the books, which really dont apply for classic cars. I doubt anyone would ever pay even 8000 for a 4dr, the market just isnt there for them.

Seems to me like a 4 door hardtop would be pretty cool because there aren't many around but maybe not cool enough to enough other people to bring the price up I suppose.

I don't usually take the wife and kids for rides in the old cars, because they are too little to ride without safety seats, and getting them in and out is a hassle.

A four door, or better yet a wagon with air would be cool.

But in PA. most cars that weren't always desirable went to the junk yards, and since PA junk yards fill up fast, old stuff was crushed, or rusted into the ground.
