: what is the factory name for that burnt orange or coppery bronze color from gm??
tony r Feb 5th, 04, 6:27 PM i have a 71 malibu dark green with dark green interior and i have always liked that burnt orange or copper bronze color they had in either 70 or 71 on the chevelles and malibus i think my next one will be that color!! any way dose anyone know the real GM name for that color??? i was told it was burnt or brunt graemlins/clonk.gif orange is that true??? thanx Tony

Super70 Feb 5th, 04, 6:38 PM tony r -- My '71 Chevelle was the color "burnt orange", code 62 and a white top. For some reason I just didn't like the color. I changed the car's color to a GM blue (don't remember the code) and then to cranberry red. Been that way for over 6 years now.

The 72 in my sig, is paint code 65 Orange flame.

I the sun it's the true orange, at night in poor lighting it could pass for the bronze. They are both very close, one is more orange, the other slightly brown.
