I am in need of the drivers side hinge and have been reluctant to purchase standard hinges (64-67) GM in fear of them not fitting. Everyone advertises 64 hinges, what's up? I don't think folks understand how hard it is to restore/maintain a 64 Chevelle. Hood hinges are just one example of how many parts are specific to the car. Matt Smith May 13th, 02, 2:26 PM When I did my '64 the drivers side hood hinge was missing. I used a driver's side hinge from a '65 GTO and as I recall it was a bolt in. They have a longer arm to support the hood. I had to drill a new front hole in the hinge arm so the holes in the hinges matched the threaded holes in the hood. they work fine and are still on the car. Dave | ||
