I'm 40 and work as an engineer at UMI Performance. I don't have a Chevelle currently but of course would love to have one.

I have a mechanical engineering degree from Penn State and 11 years oval track driving experience. 14 career wins and two track championships. I'm also a tech writer for Circle Track, Stock Car and Speedway Illustrated.

My oval track experience actually prepared me for my job at UMI. Making a heavy stock car go around a corner properly is a lot like making a Chevelle work properly.

I love my job and have made many good forum based friends on Chevelles. Great group of guys (and ladies).

26, AM3 in the Navy. Airframer in non-military speak, metal work, brakes, tires, struts, paint, sealing, hydraulics, and flight controls to name the main joys of my billet. Done EP-3E's prior to the 18's I'm working on now.
Haven't had an experience wrenching on muscle cars, I've been into the offroad Jeep scene for the last ten years, so my knowledge base is more towards suspensions, shocks, axle swaps, etc. I figure if I can learn to work on something that uses a plethora of technology and computing power to fly I can figure out some American steel, lol.

Can't remember if I posted to this thread or not. Enjoy reading about all the members and what they are doing to their cars. I just purchased a 70 SS 396 last November. A little disappointed with the seller. Advertised as O disappointments. First thing off the truck, transmission was burnt up and $1400.00 later it was back on the road. Just wish people were more honest.

I'm 65 and a gearhead since the late 50s. Worked with my Dad doing different stuff for him. I'm retired from the Army after 36 years, 24 active. Love my cars and racing. I really appreciate all the help I've received from the members. I also own two 70 Monte Carlos which are Chevelles with a long front end on them. So much is interchangeable between them.
