I wanted to use a period factory color but I understand metallics are not real good for beginners and you can't color sand as well. It seems most of the colors for 1970 are metallics. Are there any solid colors that look period correct, besides red? Wasn't there a dark blue that was not metallic?

I'm planing on using a single stage paint like PPG poly, or if I drive out of the county I can get acrylic enamel here in Caly. I have heard that Acrylic enamels are easy to shoot and look good. Any thought on this?

If you can't find the right met. color..
why bother with correct color?!

All GM original blue colors were metallic.
Only 1 wasn't.
And its not a dark blue.. its the brights blue.

It was coded 25, and was called Mediterranean blue.

All the other blue shades were all metallic.
That was the only one that wasn't.
