I'm sure I could get off my lazy butt and find out in the archives, but it's late and I need a specific answer. Does anyone know for sure if front brakes and the steering box will work on my 1967 Chevelle (currently equipped with drum brakes and manual steering)? Any help is appreciated.

No, Those wont work. Definitely not. The steering geometry is completely different.

Ok, I am going thru same boat. You can use a common setup from a 70 to 81 Camaro with front disc if you spend $175 on custom ball joints from Malibu Performance.

Here is the list of bolt ons:
73-74 Apollo
67-72 Buick Special
67-69 Camaro
67-72 Chevelle
70-72 Monte Carlo
68-74 Nova
67-72 Olds F85
73-74 Omega
71-72 GMC Sprint
71-74 Ventura II
69-72 Pontiac GranPrix

Yes they will work, they are the same spindles and brakes as the 70-81 Camaro. You will have to have the lower ball joints for the latter model spindles turned down in a lathe to fit your lower ball joints. you may also want to put in shorter front springs or cut a few coil out of your springs as the latter model spindles are taller. Don't forget to use offset upper control armshaft, Moog makes them and you will also need tie rod ends from a 73-77 A body, these will thread in place of your exsisting tie rods. This may all sound like a hassle but your car will handle better and it is far cheaper than the original style disc brakes for a 67 Chevelle. There is even a easyer way to convert to Disc Brakes, use the spindles and brakes from a 79-87 GM G body. You will still have to use cut down lower ball joints and latter model tie rod ends but you will not have to use cut down springs and offset upper control arm shafts.

They better work...That's what is under my '68 El Camino! In fact, I used the brake hoses, booster and master cylinder, spindles, rotors, and calipers from my '76 Nova parts car. I had to grind a bit from the brackets to get the hoses to work, and the booster needed some rework to get it to connect to the brake pedal, and yes, you need the special Malibu Performance ball joint kit. I also needed longer bolts to hold the cross shaft of the upper controll arms. You will need LOTS of alignment shims!!!

The steering box will work if you re-use your pitman arm, but kiss U-turns goodbye. The turning radius is HUGE.
