im going to have to do my 71 in small sections. the plan is to sandblast parts of it and then prime with the dp90LF till i get the hole car done. may take quit a while to do it all. the dp90 is flat black and i would like some of the finished areas to be a simi gloss black. if this stuff sets for several months (in the garage) will the simi gloss stick to the dp90LF? do i have to lightly sand it to get it to stick? thanks Dave

Not positive but I think recoat time is 72 hours, so yes you will have to sand it or just use a red scotchbrite pad. Mike

Mike the tech sheet says after one week you have to sand (LiGHTLY) and apply MORE!!! DP90LF before you can put anything else on top of it! Sucks huh?
Have you thought about putting on DX1791 Wash primmer for storage, maybe with a coat or 2 of K-38 on top, IF it will be exposed to moisture? This is what I am doing once the pannel is stripped and bondo work is done. The Dx1791 is $62 for a gallon of the paint AND a gallon of the reducer! And you will need the K-38/K-36 later anyway! THis is what I am doing with the rest of my pannels. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

scuff or sand the primer, you do not have to recoat before paint or sealer application if the primer is scuffed/sanded. I've had panels in epoxy for months and done this without problem. In fact epoxy is very sandable if enough cure time is given-doesn't shrink or swell either

That's not what it says in bright red on the DP90LF tech sheet but you may be able to get by with it. Lord know's I have strayed from the tech sheet and got away with it before.
