How much vacume is needed to run a power
brake booster? I have 10-12 inches of vacume will this be enough to run the power booster.
The cam i have is the edelbrock performer rpm in a 454 punched .030" over with about 10:1 compression and a holley 750 dp.

My brother runs the exact combo in his '71 SS and has no problems with the brakes. It also runs in the mid-12's at the drags with a 4-speed.

12" is usually required for good power brake operation. You might add a GM electric vacuum pump from an 80's GM J, X or A car to give you a little extra.
