Basically, how do you do this? My bro did it before and he's off at college now. I gotta bolt it all back together now without having taken it apart and I'm wondering how to get it adjust properly. Tips? Help? PLEASE?!!!

TH, I've never done this before, but I have in new mtor/clutch going in tomorrow. Here it is quote from my 67 serveice manual:

1. Disconnect spring between cross shaft lever and clutch fork
2. loosen push rod locknut about three turns
3.If there is no free travel, shorten the rod ( by turning at square wrench area) until it is free of clutch fork.
4. Hold the clutch fork rearward to move throwout bearing lightly against clutch release fingers, then adjust rod length until rod just touches its seat in the for.
5. Adjust locknut to obtain aaproximately 3/16" clearance between nut and rod sleeve end.
6. Turn the rod with wrnech, until the the nut just comes in contact with the rod sleeve end, then hold the rod with wrnech and thighten locknut.
7. Check the pedal travel at pedal ( 1" to 1 1/2" is porpoer clearance). readjust if neccesary.

Hope this helps.
