I'm replacing the steering column in my 70 chevelle, do I have to use a 68-72 chevelle column? What else will work?

Tony May 27th, 99, 8:06 PM I put a tilt column in my '69 Chevelle from an '80 Caprice. It's a bolt in except the dimmer is now operated with the turn signal lever. I had to remove the column shifter, grind off the casting and fill the hole because I have a floor shift. It looks factory. I'm sure lots of other years will also work. rick May 27th, 99, 8:22 PM I'm not sure why the link will not work, but do the search and you will find the info you need. Check this ink: www.chevelles.com/forum/Forum1/HTML/002295.html (http://www.chevelles.com/forum/Forum1/HTML/002295.html) . Also do a search for steering column, this has been discussed before. ------------------ Rick Schaefer 72 El Camino (soon to be TPI) ACES # 00140 [This message has been edited by rick (edited 05-27-99).] |
