Go to Home Depot, buy a cement block, take it home and install on top of gas peddle. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Sidewinder,
I just installed a "factory" cruise in my wife's 70 conv which I scrounged from a salvage yard. I rounded up all the pieces plus some extra parts from several cars. Once I got it all installed, it looks and works just like Chev put it on at the factory. The main pieces you will need are the transducer and the servo. Although there are numerous other parts that you need to make it all work. I think it is worth all the effort because the factory setup looks so much better than a "universal fit" aftermarket unit. If you can get lucky and find an early to mid 70s Chev with a complete system that would probably be the best. If the transducer is bad, you should be able to exchange for a rebuilt one for about $50.

DZ,

I am adding CC to my Elky. I've got most of the parts. I've got a servo question for you? The servo I have mounts on the intake using a rod to control the throttle. My assembly manual shows the servo mounted on the inner fender, with a cable going to the carb to control the throttle. I have never seen a sevo like the one in my manual. Which one did you find? Also do you have any sources for the a CC turn signal lever?
Thanks for any help.

You didn't say what year or engine your Elky is and it may make a difference. My son's car has CC from a 72 donor and both the transducer and servo mounted side by side on the left fender well. The one I added to my wife's 70 conv has the servo (from 70s or 80s) mounted to one of the threaded holes at the rear of the left head. I like this setup best, it makes a cleaner installation and has an adjustable rod from the servo to the carb (even though this rod is adjustable, there is a long and a short one for 2 & 4bl carbs) You want to be SURE to get ALL the little pieces, such as the stud on the carb lever for the rod to attach to. But you can only use this servo on heads that have the threaded holes on the ends. Small blocks didn't have the threaded holes on the ends until 1969.
As far as I know, the CC turn signal handle is still available from GM parts, I am sure the part number is 6465256, Lever-Direction Signal, and that SOB is HIGH $$$. AC-Delco dealers can no longer get it.
