I have a 1968 chevelle with power steering but because of my headers my ps brackets will not work. I'm running a pretty stout cam and definitly see advantages to headers
thanks for help.

I also ran into this problem and here is one way to solve it. Mount the alternator adapter bracket to the header. Mount the alternator bracket to the adapter plate. Just below the alternator bracket there should be a flat area on the alternator adapter bracket to mount the power steering bracket, the problem is there are no holes to do this, and not enough room to drill them. If you mount the power steering pump to the engine with the lower mount, you should be able to determine the exact position the upper PS bracket should be attached to the alternator adapter bracket. Once found, use a small “C” clamp to hold it in place, remove the alternator adapter bracket and have a good welder and let him work his magic (I say that because I can not weld). Sandblast the bracket, paint it and install.

I agree with 64 Elk, mine on my 64 Elky took custom fab work and ingenuity - different from his, but it works.
