Anybody have a clue??? Thanx in advance , is there a web site for these special creatures? Keith Tedford Dec 20th, 98, 7:23 PM I think Vince Emmes has all the VIN's and info on these cars. I don't have his number. These cars were regular COPO cars to which Yenko added his stripes, emblems and decals. None of the panels would be drilled for the SS emblems. The interior was all Malibu although I have seen one steering wheel with the SS emblem, one with Malibu and mine has the blue bow tie. They all came with 4:10 gears in a KQ rearend, power disc brakes, and a clutch seven blade fan. The KQ rear housing would be the hardest to fake as grinding would be obvious. The MP and MQ engines could be restamped blocks. Our L78 car has the KK 4:10 rear which was (I assume) the rear that the rest of the SS cars got if you ordered 4:10 gears. I understand that there were 30 COPO Chevelles sold in Canada and GM Canada would have the info in them if you have the VIN. I don't know of any Yenko cars being sold up here although a Yenko Camaro came up this year. For a Yenko web site try http://ortrackm.missouri.org/~yenko/ ACES-70 Dec 20th, 98, 7:39 PM Thanx Keith I dont know nuthin about this breed, L89SEDAN |
