Gentlemen; What is the proper way for replacing
trunk and floor pans? Should the car be on
all 4 tires or on Jack stands under frame
points.
thanks for any advice.

I would think that as long as your frame is in good shape, you can do anything with it. The frame will keep the body from torsioning.

I almost have my car ready for inspection. Once I get it on the road, I'll swing over and we can chew the fat. Ted

Just finishing up on mine right now, it’s a lot bigger job than I thought it was going to be. As long as the car is supported on all 4 corners you should be ok. With the old trunk pan removed the structural integrity of the car will be compromised until the new one is welded in place It’s up to you to find a comfortable height for doing the work. If you think you might be doing some welding from underneath you might want to consider the jack stands. (To do it right you will need to weld under the car in a few places)

Mine took a lot longer because I had to replace the rear seat divider panel, rear speaker deck and filler panel….. A special thanks to the bone head that installed that back window last, NOT! Tons of pics here -->

70 nialator, Where did you get the replacement sheet metal for the rear seat divider and speaker shelf? Mine is also totally rusted if I put a pair of speakers in there they would fall out!
