: water leak caulking!

I am about ready to re-caulk the firewall and wheel wells in my Elky to hopefully seal the water leaks. I can't find caulking in the same width as stock. The body shop supply stores sell a box of very thin caulking strips. By the time I build these strips up to the proper thickness, I've emptied the box. It is very costly. Any idea where I can get thick original style caulking. What about 3M brushable seam sealer? Is this stuff thick enough? Is there a better sealer than caulking to use? thanks, Scott!

3M has a great seam sealer. Will get the # and post for you. After it dries, you can even sand it a little. Great stuff, Karl

Here is the 3M #
3M ultra pro msp seam sealer.
#051135-08370
This product under this # is in a flexible pouch type bag. The product uses a special applicator gun. The may have the same product in a tube but I do not carry in stock at the shop.
Check with a good refinish vendor.
