My son has a 67 malibu and we went to put in his new crate motor, sbc. The oil pan is hitting the crossmember under the motor. Does someone know what oil pan to use? Will a 283 or a 327 oil pan fit on newer block?

Shouldn't be a problem as long as the dipstick is on the same side. Also, you may have to change the pan gasket (the front rubber may be to thick, or not thick enough, depends on what pan is on there now). Best of Luck!!!!

Get the pan for a 3rd gen Camaro / Firebird if it's a right-hand-dipstick motor, either a one-piece rear main sela or a 2-piece; if it's a left-hand-dipstick motor, get the old Z-28 pan GM part # 465220, and the windage tray & main studs that go with it.

I don't think the 283 or 327 pan will work on any late model zz crate motor.
