hi, im not really sure where i should post this so im starting here. i know this isnt the most appropriate area for this question so forgive me b.c im looking for some sound advice. i have a 67 chevelle that i have been working on, on and off for about 2 years now. unfortunately b/c im in college and have limited funds and have been bumming rides from people while waiting to finish my car i need to get rid of it now. i have posted it on this site but my main concern is not getting screwed out of my car or my money. i know how the process works on sites like ebay etc. but my question is what is generally the most sane way to go about collecting money for payment (i.e. cash, check, money order, etc.) and how should i arrange shipping etc. basically who has what responsibility in the process and how do i make sure i dont get screwed some how b.c reading some of the scam alerts im somewhat paranoid. any help is greatly appreciated and feel free to email me personally if you dont want to waste anymore space on here posting replies. thanks again for your time.
I know that most people who sell online dont ship
anything unless the money is in hand. Dont let the car go anywhere unless that check or money
order clears. As far as a complete car goes, most
sellers say that the buyer handles the shipping.
They can find a shipping company of their choice
or arrange to pick it up themselves. This is just from my experience.

I would only sell for cash, in person. I bought my 55 in Minnesota. I flew out there, gave the guy cash and drove it back.
Realistically, something as major as I car, I wouldn't buy it sight unseen anyway. I wouldn't sell it without the buyer seeing it either. Otherwise you leave yourself open to accusations you misrepresented the car.

Do they teach spelling in your college? What is b/c? b.c.? Do you mean because?

hi first of all thanks for all of the good advice on selling my car. ill keep all of it in mind. second, the car i am selling is a 1967 chevelle obviously, it still needs some work but comes with a decent amount of parts. im asking $3000. i cant really come off of that so its pretty firm. if interested email me or post back on here. and last i dont particularly appreciate the comment made by richard d. maybe it was a joke but i dont think it was neccessary.im not writing a paper here so i like to abbreviate a little if thats ok with you. if you have any doubts on my ability to spell or convey ideas effectively then talk to my english professors about my 3.93 GPA. sorry about that guys but i felt the comment was out of line and thanks again for the advice.
