I have bought a 1972 Chevelle SS with the following cowl plate information
ST 7213637R 35035 BDY
second line
T.R. 724 A 52 D PNT.
The car is a Carolina Blue with a White vinal topand white stripes. I contacted the orginal owner and he said It was this color when he bought It new.
Was the D for dealer optioned? Has anyone ever seen another onthis color?

From what I can tell.....It shows the code 52 paint color as being Corvette sunflower yellow and the Vynil top code "D" is for a blue vynil roof.
