I'm looking at painting the metal part of the dash on my '69. I'm talking about the portion of the dash where the pad sets on and the portion that goes up to the windshield. I currently have the windshield out and the cowl area done.

Is the "wrinkle finish" paint, like the kind Eastwood's have, the "correct" finish? I've talked to others that say they first used a flat black, then "ever so lightly" a little gloss paint on top...

You need to spray black on there with alot of "flattening agent" added to it. It is supposed to be 0% gloss. Black only if you have a black interior.
