posted this in the electrical section with limited replies. Trying to install a new switch, but having problems with the lock cylinder. Followed the archive to the tee, nothing. cylionder wont budge. it seems that when i insert the clip, it hits a flat face just past the cylinder cover any ideas please give me a buzz.
I have not taken one apart for years, but I think you must have the key in and maybe turned before the pin will insert. and then just pull the cylinder out. I can't really remember it's been too long ago. Dave

On my '64, you turn the key to ACC, insert a paperclip, then push it in while turning to the left. Hope this helps!
