how do you adjust the side/side location of the tailgate? it looks like the hinge brackets are directly bolted to the body and neither side has any shims? if i were to shim it over the opposite hinge has no where to move. my tailgate needs about 1/8 to the right. it touches on the left and has a 1/4 gap on the right. help!

I used a piece of 2x4 on each side with a bottle jack in between and spread the opening apart enough to make the gap correct. It took some trialand error, and going very slowly raising and lowering the gate to keep checking the gap.
