im stupid, i dont know where it went. its the big nut in the center than holds the wheel on. does anyone know what size it is or where i could buy one. if anyone has an extra i'll buy it from ya

Junkyard will get you one. I think a stock lug nut might fit until you get there. :D

Most suto parts stores should have them. They were the same size for about 40 years. If not, try the Chevy dealer, you may be surprised at what they can get you for older cars.

Hit the pick-a-part places. Anyhing late 70s will work. Probably find something else while you are there anyway.

I I remember right they're a wierd size and pitch - boneyard's the best bet.

The thread on the end of the steering shaft was 9/16-18 UNC up until the 1978 model year. In 1978, the thread was changed to metric M14x1.5-6g.
