I have a question about the way that the carpeting goes around the center post in the four door wagon and sedan cars. Is there a metal molding that covers the edge of the carpet as it rounds the post? It would be screwed into the post. My car doesn't have the moldings, I think my upholstery guy lost them if they exist. The two holes that would accept the screws are there. If anyone out there has an extra set (if they exist), shoot me an email, thanks.

no metal molding. on mine, the screws go through the carpet. there is a rubber strip on the carpet that touches the post, it stops where the fisher body door sill plates begin

JimN, There is a small metel trim piece that is attached by 2 plastic holders that is why there are 2 holes on the base of the door post. hard to find pieces I just found a pair in a wagon I bought for parts everyone that I know just lays the carpet down and leaves it alone. Gene....
