I have a full factory guage package for a 70 SS and hate the fact that there is no oil pressure gauge!! I was thinking about buying an aftermarket AMP gauge face and having it silk screened with 70 green text in an oil pressure gauge layout and then mounting the face and pressure gauge into the stock AMP gauge position. D&M Restorations seems to think it would be relatively easy to accomplish. It drives me crazy to have an aftermarket oil pressure gauge hanging under the dash. Has anyone done this before? Any ideas? Tips? Suggestions?

I used these guys to repair my AMP meter. Might call them up and ask if they can set you up with an oil pressure movement and markings. Maybe a '69 setup with a 'redone' '70 face plate. Then you could use a stock '69 sender. 800-558-2674
