Hey guys and gals. I posted this in Performance but didnt get to many replys, althought thanks to slpin and pdq67. Figured it would get more traffic here...
I have a 454 built to LS7 specs. We are estimating about 425-450 horse. We compared this to a fresh rebuild 429 Cobra Jet Fairlane and was dead even. We have a Holley 750 DP Mech. Secondaries. What benifit do you guys think we would recieve by switching over to dual quads. Also, any suggestions on manifold/carbs (preferably a Mech secondaries). Thanks a lot guys...

your better off stating with one carb dual quads can actually make the cars performance worse if not tuned correctly and thats no easy task

I too vote for the single carb, a Holley 950 hp. I have one from www.allcarbs.com (http://www.allcarbs.com) and it rocks. About the only thing dual carbs will give you is the "wow factor" when you pop the hood. Unless of course you go with a Tunnel Ram intake, then you don't even have to open the hood :D . It seems about 9 in 10 responses about multiple carb setups are how hard it is to tune them. Good Luck.
