Hello, I have a 1966 chevelle ss that i am restoring and would like some info about what location the antenna should be in.I have seen them both in the front and in the rear of the car.
what will tell me were it belongs.

Restoration corner would have been a better bet for this question.

You would have to double check to see if 66 was the same, but in 67 you got a fender mount telescoping AM antenna as standard, with the quarter panel mount as an option with the AM radio only. With the AM FM you got a fender mounted fixed mast unit only, no quarter mount.

Like I said, I'm not sure if this was true for 66.
