I was debating finishing the trunk in my 68 this summer. I was just wondering if I should go ahead and do it before the body. Would this create a problem with masking in the long run.
I also have another question, the panel up under the package tray is severely rusted out (rat's nest) Is this area structurally important and can I get the panel out of a 69 four door?
Last one will the glass and trim off that 69 fit on the 68, considering the glass comes out with out cracking.
Sorry for the length but haven't been working on the car since I've been at school and had this pop up in my mind, Thanks.

Don't know about 4-door to 2 door package tray compatibility. Take some measurements if you have access to the 4 door. If not, call Sundalls in NC or Pa. He's the only one that might know. I guarantee that if the speaker tray is rusted, you'll need the exterior trunk to window section replaced also. It comes with the back glass mounting edge that's usually rusted and leaking. Get that from aftermarket source. Do ALL of this work first before any type of painting takes place. Take out back glass and see what you have. You may be able to save the package tray.
68 & 69 are the same glass except for front sides. The 68's have wing vents. Trim is the same.
