I have a 1971 chevelle malibu with a chrome and rubber piece running down each side of the car. I am getting ready to paint it but was wondering if the pieces are glued on or drilled and mounted? Thanks

Some are all vinyl with molded ends and just stick on. Others have an aluminum track that is pop riveted on with metal tips and then a rubber extrusion is loaded in it. These are both aftermarket door guards. The factory stuff had clips holding them on. FO_FDYFO Sep 17th, 04, 2:28 PM THEY ARE HELD ON WITH PLASTIC CLIPS THAT GO OVER WE (ooPs) welded studs. if you want to remove them just take pliers and twist them off. | ||
