I need a picture of an original (not removed/replaced) VIN TAG on a 66, I am putting mine back on after painting the body and don't remember which orientation the tag goes, numbers reading up from the floor, or down towards the floor...? (looking fom standing outside the car with the drivers side door open)

I'm pretty sure when you open the door, and look at the tag from outside the car, the numbers read down. meaning the 138... starts at the top...

(I know I know, it was illegal to remove it, I know that now... just need to know the proper orientation for a 66/67 VIN TAG)

It reads left to right or in the case of where it is on the car, top to bottom starting with the 138176. I could send you pics. but all my 66's and 67's are this way, I was just in the garage also.
