270ss Jan 3rd, 04, 6:20 PM Hi, Does anyone reproduce the inner wheel wells for a 70 convt, I have looked thru all my books and dont see any listed, I have been told these are diffrent then the hardtop,does anyone know for sure and are the outers diffrent for the convt also. I'm supposing youre refering to the outer rear.Can be done if you can find a complete outer(good luck) but the converts ARE different.This also entails alot of extra work. After I ordered an aftermarket set and welded them in with N.O.S. quarters(not convert,good luck on those also, but full sail trimmed down-worked perfect) and an O.E.M came up on e-bay after I was already done. But heres what ya gotta do, get the outers, (N.O.S. do come up on e-bay)the aftermarket I used worked fine. You have to trim them and fit and do quarters at the same time. I'll be sending you an email regarding your inner (outer) fender wells and quarter pics which I hope you'll send. I am using Goodmark full quarters and fender wells on my car. I plan on only using the very outer edge (lip)since the remainder is solid. Thanks.
