I found a 1970 4 door wagon that the owner is willing to sell but not sure what a fair price for it would be. It has a v-6 in it and interior is very rough but body is straight. It also runs and has no ac. What would be a fair asking price?

They didn't put V6's in 70's so someone else did.But if the body, floors, and frame are not all rusted to pieces my guess would be $1000 to $2000.I paid $1300 for my 72 wagon couple months ago. Good luck ;)

The wagon has Nomad emblems on it also. Would a
v-6 been in a 70 nomad wagon or was there such a thing?

The 70 Nomad would not have a V6, only a V8 or L6. Check the trim tag or VIN for the series, 13136 would be the L6 and 13236 would be a V8. FWIW, the only L6 in 1970 would be the 250/155HP. Any small V8 could be ordered but would have come standard with the 307-2/200HP or an optional 350-2/250HP L65 or 350-4/300HP L48. My guess would be since the Nomad was the low man on the wagon totem pole, it would be sparcely optioned and if a V8, probably the base 307.

An L6 is an inline 6 with all the cylinders in a row from front to back.

Yes, it has an inline 6. What would be top dollar anyone would pay for something like this?

it depends on what you want. if you want a 6 cylinder without ac and the body is straight and not all rusted out around the wheel wells, and the frame is not cracked. it could be worth as much as $3500 to someone. if you want to yank the engine right away and sink a lot of money in it you might be better just getting one closer to what you want. but i would think even with out seeing it, that it has to be worth at least $1000.
