Been to busy to really post anything latley, for you that remember my Dyno fiasco, Making a whopping 200 and change ft/lbs at the rear wheels. I decided to take the car to the track, and see what it would do with the crappy converter. (and for the fact I didnt beleive the dyno,, it was one of those travelling dudes that they have at car shows)
Second time out with this combo ran a 11.7 @ 120 with a 1.89 60ft, Not bad for pump gas and the car spitting and farting the whole way down the track.
With a 3500 stall, 29.5 inch tire, 4:10 rear gear, at 120mph I went through the traps at 6900 RPM... For those with out a calculator, with a 1:1 3rd gear that should have been about 5800 RPM (give or take).. SO there is some substantial slippage happenening somewhere. :rolleyes:
The new converter will be ordered shortly.. (going with a 5000 B and E)I am also going to relocate the exauhst to the back of the car and put in a Muffler(up the stealth), and move the air inlet for colder intake charge.
I figure this car will be good for tens when I get the tune dialed in.
