i love hte color, but that paintjob is horrible.

I think flat black, with red pinstripes, and the redline tires would look sick.

I think it looks stupid on that car!!
Flat black works on some cars and really sucks it up on others.
Make sure you paint it with John Deere Biltz Black, that way you can look like everyone else...Eric

The trick is to make it look wet, without any shine. Also it looks way better when the body is really straight.

Well, since that looks earily too much like my chevelle, I'm gunna have to say I like it! I even have the cowl hood....missing a grill though. My car is 100% in PPG DP90, has been for about a year now. It is the only primer I would use for this job, a better solution being flat single stage of course. And of course if I see you around my parts I remain my rights to claim you as a copier! good luck! graemlins/beers.gif

flat blacks always good for a primer.. i liek it better than grey, th elst car i primered was tan and i think my current car will be black or epoxy green when i do it, i would only consider it a primer though, flat looks good on old buckets and rat rods as a finished product but a-bodys look great shiny

Funny subject as my 68 SS is wearing DP90 until reconstruction day. I think the hood scoop sucks though. Just my opinion for sure. How the hell do you post pix? JOHN

and just to let everyone know what i am thinking....i like black A LOT, but my car will never be straight enough to be black. so i figured take away gloss and it doesn't have to be quite as straight (even though i know it still has to be pretty close to perfect) and i thought it looked kind of mean.

fwiw I think flat black looks great on rat rods but personally I think I does not look good on production cars.

Then again that is the beuty of our hobby. There is room for all styles.
