Well, i just joined the "been in an accident" club... http://www.chevelles.com/forum/mad.gif :mad http://www.chevelles.com/forum/frown.gif Some moron ran right into the back of my 70 elky while i was stopped in traffic... http://www.chevelles.com/forum/mad.gif http://www.chevelles.com/forum/frown.gif

Bumper is bent& all the chome cracked and popped off (re-chromed 2 years ago) Tailgate has a crease through the "SS" emblems, and a nice crease & in the center of the lower left...

I'm thinking about just paying the difference in the work $$ to have the body shop put a new 68(no B/U light) tailgate skin on instead of re-working the current one.

Has anyone else used the new REPO tailgate skins? Any comments on quality/fit finish?

How about the repop bumpers? Are they good?

Thanks-
Ben

I had an employee that used the repro skin without the reverse lights and it was of very nice quality. It installed easily and required no work beore refinishing. I think he got it from the El Camino Store, but I'll bet the other suppliers carry the same one.

I bought a repo bumper from Goodmark. The fit was fine but it has some tooling marks that don't belong. For the money($200)I was happy with it though.

Elcaminos are special!
I'd rather walk around with a Chevrolet hubcap in my hand than drive a Ford
