Team members had the opportunity to speak with Tom Shaw at CB03 and he asked if we would help promote his new magazine "Musclecar Power"

Hello Team Chevelle members,
I'd like to invite you to have a look at my new magazine, Musclecar Power. I edited Musclecar Review as far back as 1989, and then when Primedia discontinued it, I started my own magazine, Musclecar Power.

I wanted to make it better than any magazine that's ever been available in the musclecar hobby, so I gave it more pages, better paper, bigger format, longer features, more color, a 3-page fold-out poster, and the same fun and informative feel that made Musclecar Review a favorite. I've printed only 5,000 of the first issue. $9.95 gets you the Premier Collectors Issue postpaid in a paper envelope. There are subscription coupons inside, or you can order from www.musclecarpower.com (http://www.musclecarpower.com) too.

The first issue has a superb story on the Yenko supercars, including some never-before published photos and info. Lots of great stories too, including a dandy from Miss Hurst, Linda Vaughn. Give it a look. There's a preview posted at www.musclecarpower.com. (http://www.musclecarpower.com.)

All the best,

Tom Shaw, publisher

It's been quite awhile since the premiere issue came out and I've been chomping at the bit ever since. Any idea on when the next issue will be out?

I got the discount since I was at the Chevellabration. The magazine is top notch. More pictures less ads. That is why it does cost a little more but quality is worth it. We talked to Tommy a while under the tent at the Chevellabration. Let me tell you he was "cruising" onto Norwalk for the muscle car drags when he passed us in the 67 SS. He is a great guy with a great magazine unlike the others on the market who repeat their stories in 2 or 3 different magazines.

I had a chance to speak with Tom in Nashville, and encouraged him to contact Al. What a great magazine. Its a startup, so you know that issue timing likely isnt set in stone. But it's jsut too cool. The stock race results were worth the price of the issue. Plus, I'm tired of reading about power adders, $50,000+ chromed modifieds, etc.

Good luck Tom! My check's in the mail!

I just wanted to reiterate Mark's question. Has anybody heard when the next issue is due out? I'm looking forward to it.

I received the initial issue a couple of weeks ago, and it is a very good product. The mag is a tad expensive, but it is high quality and has excellent photos, etc. There is another magazine similar to that which has been around for about a year that I also subscribe to - Muscle Car Motion. It too is of excellent quality and is similarly priced.

I bought a subscription and the debut issue 2 weeks ago. I will get it in a few weeks. I have kept all my Musclecar Review magazines from the early eighties on, plus all Schnieder Performance series, Petersens Musclecar classics and others from the peak of the renaissance period (read: 1980s anal retentive stockers, which I love, among the tastefully modified others). I feel that this is worthy of supporting, especially due to the demise of all other competitors.

I just ordered the 1st issue and a 1 year sub.
It does seem a tad bit expensive, but it sounds like it will be worth it.Looking forward to getting it.Hopefully it will grow into a monthly issue.
